Welcome to the forum! I'm by no means an expert on Alexander the Great coins, but I'll tell you what I've read. Roman coins differ from one another because they were hammered out by hand. That's to be expected. When I first learned about collecting Roman coins I was surprised to find that they're not worth all that much. You'd think the age of the coins would make them worth a huge amount, but age is only one factor of a coin's worth. Another factor that they don't have going for them is rarity. There are loads of Roman coins, thus the price for them isn't that high.

As far as the date, I'm not sure. The Wikipedia page for Alexander the Great has some coins that are said to be circa 300BC so that gives you a ballpark estimate.
