Posts: 32 7-Feb-2008 10:53:29	Here's another question I just received by email I have a 1999 Deleware quarter that has the back side painted. It looks way too detailed to have been done by hand. There are different shades of brown throughout the horse. Is it possible or did somebody very talented paint this?? These are done professionally. Posts: 6 16-Apr-2008 19:47:50	The process is called laser painted. These coins are very nice to collect. I have collected them for my daughter. The detail is lasered and the clear coated to keep coin paint from chipping. Hope this helps!!! PS I have collected some many different coins through the years, I think I am addicted. I wonder if they have AAA meetings for coin collectors. LOL

Posts: 66 6-May-2008 12:56:14	Thanks for the clarification coinz24. I'm partial to unaltered coins myself, but some of the colorings (especially on the Silver Eagles) are quite impressive.
