Search the internet for a coin collecting club near you. Also, if you want to join us we are a bunch of coin collecting nuts who are making money collecting coins.

More advice... | #2 | ||

Greetings,
You never mentioned where you are located. Open your yellow pages and call your local coin shops. They will have advice on what is happening in your area. As far as an online retailer, check out www.coinkiosk.com for coins that are being auctioned. Hope this helps. Regards, Nick |

I have to disagree with Littleton, but EBay is clearly a great place to buy coins.
Now, that being typed - does Littleton guarantee authenticity? Because buying RAW coins from EBay could be problematic, but buying PCGS or NGC coins should be fine. It seems like Littleton is WAY overpriced in general - at least my father has bought stuff from there in the past, and he kept his receipts and you can get the same (and better) stuff on EBay, or graded stuff that is clearly better, for less money. But, that is my personal opinion on Littleton. I think that pre-EBay - Littleton filled an important niche to remote coin collectors, but that strength has fallen by the wayside. |

eBay and local stores | #5 | ||

I don't know about Littleton but I vote for eBay too. The only problem with eBay is that buyers often miss good auctions because sellers put them in the
wrong categories, or misspell things, or have to put them in some "Misc" type category. Or some combination of these, where it's hard to find the
coins you want. I like http://www.megaministore.com/mms/coins.php where they search live auctions and
sales and break them down, putting them in correct categories and making it easier to see a comprehensive list of what's available. And yes, local coin and
collectible shops are the first place to try!
